This product pack contains instructions enabling an organization to view and perform many important Linux related tasks on end user devices.
These tasks include, fetching Journals details, performing a forced reboot of troubled devices and services, providing SMART information about hard drives for troubleshooting purposes, disk usage etc.
1) An IT department decides to schedule a regular check for free disk space availability across their devices and compare it to their standard threshold space requirement. Based on this report for available free disk size, an IT department can then reclaim disk space by performing a clean-up of specific devices.
2) Often there are devices which have not been rebooted for a long time but must be rebooted to maintain system performance or to follow organizational system policies. Such devices can be rebooted using this product pack.
3) A system administrator wants to quickly check the overall health of device hard drives. SMART (Self-Monitoring, Analysis, and Reporting Technology) allows you to view the status or overall "health" of a hard drive providing valuable information of any potential problems.
