Define and maintain a list of approved drivers for use on the end-user devices in your company network. Using the approved drivers list, find the available updates from HP and Dell driver repositories and/or Microsoft WSUS. The list of updated drivers will then be installed automatically on end-user devices (local or remote). This Product Pack provides visibility of the drivers in use across your enterprise, saves you time and effort of maintaining driver updates, reduces security concerns by ensuring that only the latest drivers are in use - thereby increasing stability.
Start by running List drivers for which older version is installed to get the relevant drivers for which updates are available from vendor (HP and Dell) driver repository and Microsoft WSUS with respect to the laptop model. Select the drivers that you want to update.
Next run Add Driver Update title: %Title% association to Manufacturer: %Manufacturer% Model: %Model% with PatchGuid:%PatchGuid%, Source:%Source% , UserNoteBefore:%UserNoteBefore% And UserNoteAfter:%UserNoteAfter% to add selected drivers one by one or for bulk update run Import Required Windows Driver Map from embedded file (the embedded file will need to be updated based on customer environment) to set up an initial Windows Driver map.
Assign and deploy the GS policy Windows driver updates. Make sure that rule Check and apply Windows Driver updates for mapped data is enable.
